Cut (out) from a different cloth.
Tinker Hatfield's Air Max 1 was cut from a different cloth. Hell, Tinker himself is so unique that only he could dream of something so wild. And now, 32 years on, the Air Max 1 continues to reinvent itself, further establishing itself as one of the most unique offerings to ever come out of Beaverton. Next up for the Swoosh-Branded Icon (or in this case, Swooshless icon) is this retooled Premium rendition, available in stores now.
Sporting an earthy brown mix of Moon and Sepia, this Premium Air Max 1 comes retooled with textured materials — similar to these recent Air Max 97s — at the heel and ankle, and patterned suede on the mudguard and lighter lace overlay. Cut-out Swoosh motifs expose dark brown mesh underlays for a unique look, and the pair is finished off with a pop of red at the upper eyelet and embroidered heel detail, along with a muddy-brown rubber outsole.
Grab an official look at the pair below, which is already available at select overseas stores like Hype DC — With a US release to follow shortly.
Update 05.26.19 // After pairs saw an international release earlier this month, Stateside sneakerheads can now pick up their pairs directly from Nike.com today for $130! GO GO GO!
